Osha Fire near Sipapu now at 1,000 Acres

That’s the word from the Carson National Forest as of Wednesday evening. It’s believed the fire was caused by a downed power line, which could be tied to wind or a beaver-felled tree.
The fire is on both sides of Highway 518 near the Rock Wall and the southern campus of the Fa-Yun monastery. [...]

Mora, Penasco Out of State Tourney
The Panther and Ranger girls volleyball teams both faced stiff competition in the first round of the state tournament last night in Rio Rancho.
The Rangerettes fell to Dulce, (25-23,26-28,25-22,25-21), while the Lady Panthers were unable to get by Navajo Prep (25-18,25-13,11-25,25-21).
